In the early years of Gil Heley’s dissection studies, he was an active practitioner of structural integration. He believed that if I used his hands to “differentiate” his clients’ tissues, he could help them to experience freedom of movement more fully. Therefore, it is not surprising that he approached cadavers similarly. Gil would attempt to use his hands to differentiate the different layers of tissue beneath the skin, sometimes with success and sometimes not.
