Earn CEUs that advance your career

In a large number of states and regions, there are certain laws that govern the practice of manual therapy. One common thread that runs throughout most of these laws is that those who practice professional bodywork must earn a set number of continuing education hours in order to renew and maintain their licenses or certifications for practice.

Fortunately, there are quite a few high quality massage certification workshops available that can not only help practitioners earn the necessary CEUs, but also allow them to improve and advance their own careers. A third and equally important benefit of completing the right massage certification workshops is that the training should also help you deliver valuable services to clients in order to boost their overall health and quality of life.

Ideally, you will want to enroll in massage certification workshops that can fulfill all three of the above criteria—counting as approved CEUs, enhancing your practice and improving client outcomes. For those bodyworkers who are looking to take their careers in the direction of deep tissue and pain management techniques, there is a good chance that Erik Dalton workshops will fit the bill.

The massage certification workshops that have been developed by Dalton and his Freedom From Pain Institute are designed to teach each student exactly what he or she needs to know in order to become a Certified Myoskeletal Therapist. These courses are based on Dalton’s renowned Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, which center on various forms of deep tissue manual therapy for the end goal of pain management.

Dalton’s workshops deliver an array of skills in advanced myoskeletal techniques for effective pain management. This is a big part of what makes these massage certification workshops so incredibly popular. Once students have gone through the necessary training in myoskeletal alignment, they will be poised to begin accepting clients who are dealing with pain conditions. In most cases, these clients are willing to pay top dollar for the skilled services that can help alleviate their pain in noninvasive ways.

There are a few different routes that a manual therapist may take toward becoming a Certified Myoskeletal Therapist. One option is to attend, in person, one of the courses taught throughout the year by Erik Dalton or a senior member of his staff. Another option is to purchase one of the massage therapy home-study CE courses developed by Dalton. Of course, many of the most advanced myoskeletal therapists are those who have not only taken one or more of these CE courses in person, but also have completed the entire collection of Dalton seminars available for massage therapy home study.

Currently, there are three home-study programs that have been put together by Dalton and the Freedom From Pain Institute. These programs are titled Lower Body Specialist, Upper Body Specialist and Posture & Pain Specialist. Successfully completing any one of the three leads to official certification as a myoskeletal therapist, and the programs can be taken in any order. The number of massage therapy CEUs that may be accrued by completing these programs ranges from 20 to 32 CE hours per program.
